23rd June 2009 - I am sad to announce that Shelf Life contributor Robbie Langton died suddenly on Friday 19th June, while attending a meeting of the Leicester Doctor Who Group. Robbie wrote the story "Manuscript found in an old bookcase" as a tribute to Craig who had been there for him when his late partner, Adam Richards, also passed away.
24th February 2009 - Collected the second batch of books today, but they only sent 95 copies. Press Release available
here.
20th February 2009 - The second batch of books, #101-200, is due to arrive from the printers on Monday 23rd February or Tuesday 24th.
6th February 2009 - We can now confirm that we have ordered the next batch of books, and will let people know when they are due to arrive. Unfortunately there was a delay to confirming this order because Paypal has been sitting on our funds for the whole of January, messing up our cash-flow and making it impossible for me to give the go-ahead for a second print-run. This hissue as now been resolved, which means we can actually start promoting the book (our original intention was to promote it after Christmas, but we had pretty much sold out before we got the chance).
25th December 2008 - Yesterday we received a thank you card from Craig's mum, Christine Hinton, which we wanted to share with everybody:
"Thank you so much for sending me the lovely book, you must all have worked very hard.
Please thank everyone for their kind words. I have quickly gone through it and found it very comforting to know he had so many good
friends, now I must start at the beginning and read it again.
Thank you all again. Wishing you, and all Craig's friends a happy New Year. 22nd December 2008 - All pre-Christmas orders to date are now on their way, and the first copies should be arriving in the post with people over the next couple of days. I even hand delivered a few on my Christmas run tonight.
17th December 2008 - The first batch of books has been received and Paypal ordering is now set up.
2nd December 2008 - We're looking at getting delivery of the first batch of books on the 12th-14th December, so it seems appropriate that we open up th order book tomorrow (Wednesday 3rd) which is, of course, the second anniversary of Craig's death. On the subject of North American and other overseas distribution, it's not going to be possible to have a print run done Stateside - it just wouldn't be practical for us.
